George Avery broke off some bungalow lots and the remainder was sold in 1920 to Fitzgerald who developed the area as Gerald Park. Many of the lots were advertised and sold in New York City.

In 1951, Gerald Park became the Gerald Park Association, a quasi-municipality, by an act of the Connecticut General Assembly.
