Ethel Mary Mellor (1884-1961)

Ethel Mellor Avery was an elementary school teacher in New York City. She met Arnold Avery when he was also teaching in the New York City schools, as a plumbing instructor. They married in 1908, spent summers in Coventry, and moved to Coventry permanently in 1939. They had a long and loving partnership.
